On Thursday August 2, 2024, the Institute for Migration Research (IMIN) and the City of Ljubuški, Bosna i Hercegovina, signed a Memorandum of Understanding which outlines the initiative to formally begin collaborating on joint ventures to the benefit of both signatories. The agreement follows joint discussions on strengthening applied research and collaborative projects around themes mainly relating to diaspora and return migration in the area. Representing IMIN at the signing was the director dr. sc. Marina Perić Kaselj and co-ordinator for International collaboration dr. sc. Natasha Kathleen Ružić and representing the City of Ljubuški, the Mayor of Ljubuški Vedran Markotić and the President of the City Council Tihomir Kvesić.
