Roundtable
Ethnicity and Stability of Europe in the 21st Century – the Position and Role of Croatia
Zagreb, 10 November 2000
Within the framework of its multi-year research project “Croatian Ethnic Development in a Comparative Perspective”, the Institute for Migration and Ethnic Studies organized the round table with the title “Ethnicity and Stability of Europe in the 21st Century – the Position and Role of Croatia”.
The goal of this scientific conference – round table – was to review, classify and confront diverse concepts of ethnicity and identity, to outline their potential for stability/instability of Europe in the coming decades, and to, at least, suggest social and policy implications of ethnicity for the programs of stability in Southeastern Europe. Special attention was paid to the position and role of Croatia defined in such a comparative framework.
