3rd Round Table: Xenophobia and Migration Policies – a Comparative Approach
INVITATION TO THE ROUND TABLE
Forum of the Institute for Migration and Ethnic Studies organises 3rd Round Table entitled
“XENOPHOBIA AND MIGRATION POLICIES – A COMPARATIVE APPROACH”
that will be held on 10 November 2011 in Kulturno-informacijski centar, Preradovićeva 5, Zagreb, starting at 10 am.
Contemporary Western societies are faced with growing mobility under the influence of globalisation and integrations. In such circumstances, the position of migrants necessarily requires regulating their status. In relation to the legislation, there is also an experiential level that differs from normative dimension and the regulation of migrants’ position. The goal of this Round Table is to open discourse on migration policies in Europe and overseas immigration countries.
We hope that you will accept the call for participation in this Round Table. If you are interested, please confirm your attendance and participation verbally or in writing, and specify the exact title of your presentation (contact person: Dubravka Mlinarić, firstname.lastname@example.org).
The presentations will be posted on the website of Forum of the Institute for Migration and Ethnic Studies (www.imin.hr/forum).
